Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced a reduction of Rs. 10.20 in the per liter price of petrol for the next 15 days. Following this, the new price of petrol has been set at Rs. 258.16 per liter.
According to a notification issued by the Federal Ministry of Finance, the government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs. 10.20 and diesel by Rs. 2.33 per liter. After the announcement of price reductions by the government, the new price of petrol is Rs. 258.16 per liter and the new price of diesel is Rs. 267.89 per liter. The Ministry of Finance stated in the notification that the reduction in petroleum prices has been made due to a decrease in oil prices in the international market.
